Matsu El Viejo 2020
Completeness and wisdom. The truth is in the glass
Selection of the best grapes, that come from very old vineyards of extremely limited production, more than 100 years old and cultivated naturally. Sandy soils with high granitic stony component.
Manual harvest between September 14 and October 6, using boxes and small trailers.
Maceration during 2 weeks. Spontaneous fermentation in 15,000 kg concrete tanks with native yeast. The malolactic fermentation takes place in these same tanks. Soft filtering and non-aggressive clarify to preserve its natural characteristics.
100% Tinta de Toro.
14 months in new French oak barrels.
Deep cherry with violet edges.
Very intense and complex. The combination of juicy ripe black fruits, spices, nuts and maturity gives sheer pleasure.
Serious wine with velvety texture, lots of structure, great backbone and serious tannic grip. Long and persistent aftertaste.
