Küdaw, Vintae’s first Chilean wine has just arrived

The urge to explore, the call of adventure and the eagerness to allow ourselves to be captivated by each territory, have led us on a journey through the Andean country  in search of forgotten centenary vineyards, rescuing the oldest varieties and the traditional production methods. During this journey we have walked the land and felt the Chilean soul through the stories of scores of winegrowers who keep a wine tradition alive that Küdaw wines is about to assume. I would be lying if I said that making this project a reality has been easy. But tens of thousands of kilometers traveled, hundreds of vineyards explored, a lot of work and, above all, a spirit of infinite improvement on the part of the whole Vintae team have made it possible. And now, more than two years after setting foot in Chile for the first time, I can feel proud and say that all the effort has been worth it. And very much so. Heroes who also call themselves winegrowers and continue to work the vineyard on horseback in the way their grandparents did, vineyards overlooking the sea, grapes growing between pines and eucalyptus or on the foothills of the mountain range... I could tell you at length about the adventure we experienced, but I prefer them to steal the limelight. Küdaw wines. A collection of five wines capable of expressing our experience during this time, just by trying them. Küdaw Nativo is a journey to the forgotten centenary vineyards in southern Chile, rescuing the oldest varieties and the traditional production methods. Carignan, País and Cinsault, three wines which reflect the spirit of the land, the tradition that for centuries has been respected by those who care for the vineyard and produce wines following the ancestral methods inherited for generations. Küdaw Pacífico is the search for the coolest vineyards in Chile, with sea views and the coolness and salinity of the ocean Carmenere and Sauvignon reflect the other little known reality of Chilean wine, the great potential for the development of cool wines with a large influence from the ocean. I just hope that you can try them and enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed traveling, looking for the best vineyards and elaborating them for someone like you.
