The prestigious American wine taster James Suckling has recognized the immense quality of Hacienda López de Haro wines with high scores in his recent report on Spain, in which he analyses more than 2,000 references from all over the country, including Classica Hacienda López de Haro Gran Reserva Tinto 2001, with 92 points; Hacienda López de Haro Edición Limitada 2016, with 90; and Hacienda López de Haro Crianza 2016, also with 90 points.
About Classica Hacienda López de Haro Gran Reserva Tinto 2001, Suckling states that it is a "lovely, traditional-style red with plum and coffee character, full of depth". He describes Hacienda López de Haro Limited Edition 2016 as a wine "of medium body, fine and silky tannins and a bright finish". On the other hand, Hacienda López de Haro Crianza has "lots of stewed cherry and berry aromas with a full body, soft tannins and a fruity finish".
