Vineyards
0.3073 hectares in Cárdenas, planted in 1920 with 1.55 x 1.55 m spacing. Altitude: 570 m. East/northeast orientation. Ferrous clay soil with fragmented stones from the underlying conglomerate layer.
Harvest
Manual harvest on October 13th, 2019.
Winemaking
Fermented in small open containers with approximately 25% whole clusters.
Varieties
Mainly Garnacha, co-planted with Mazuelo, Tempranillo, and various red and white varieties.

Aging
Aged for 16 months in Austrian oak barrel with 60 mm thick staves.
Tasting notes
Visual
Very deep red with violet hues, reflecting the vitality of a century-old vineyard. Despite its age, it retains youthful vibrancy.
Nose
Evokes the wild herbs of Alto Najerilla. Red berries and ripe black fruit combine with spices, balsamic notes, and underbrush. ¬e varietal blend adds complexity with freshness, mineral depth, and notes of licorice and dry leaves.
Palate
Silky and vibrant, marked by precise acidity and fresh tension. ¬e altitude brings verticality and structure, while the velvety texture balances youth and re nement. Long nish with echoes of roots, herbs, and red fruit—elegant and ethereal.
