The Matsu wine collection wins the Best Packaging prize at the IWC Merchant Awards Spain Vintae continues to reap success, not only because of the quality of the wines it produces but also in other areas such as, in this case, design. Last night the winners were announced at the second edition of the International Wine Challenge Merchant Awards Spain, at a gala held in Madrid, and the Best Packaging Award went to the Matsu collection: El Pícaro, El Recio y El Viejo. These awards are aimed at the wine distribution sector and the auxiliary industries in Spain, and their aim is to reward excellence as well as the best initiatives and success stories in the marketing and associated wine industries. Having been held for 25 years in the United Kingdom, alongside the International Wine Challenge competition which rewards the quality of wines, last year they were convened for the Spanish market for the first time. The jury was presided by Pedro Ballesteros, Spanish Master of Wine, and made up of important professionals such as Sarah Jane Evans of the Institute of Masters of Wine, Charles Metcalfe of the Great Order of Wine Knights or Ángel Riesgo Alcaide from DDB Spain. The jury recognized the careful design that packages the entire presentation of the range of wines elaborated by Vintae in the DO Toro. It's just that the philosophy of Vintae has always been to dress their collections in the most original and fun way, using direct concepts to attract the new wine consumer.  The Matsu wine collection wins the Best Packaging prize at the IWC Merchant Awards Spain Matsu: El Pícaro, El Recio y El Viejo. Matsu, which in Japanese means wait, is the project that the Vintae wine company produces in Toro. Organic wines that respect the tradition and authenticity of the region. With the Matsu trilogy, Vintae wanted to pay tribute to the winemakers and for this reason the protagonists of this collection's labels are winegrowers representing the different generations of people who dedicate their lives to the land and to cultivating the vine.  In this project, Vintae worked with the design agency from La Rioja, Moruba. The photographers Salva and Bela embodied the idea of ​​the creative team with the photographs they took of different farmers in the region.
