Robert Parker’s list of Rioja wines has already been published in his magazine, The Wine Advocate, and the Vintae Rioja wines have passed with great marks. Hacienda Lopez de Haro Crianza and Tempranillo and Quatro Pagos Reserva have received a high distinction, which has made us extremely happy.
Parker´s person for Spanish wines, Luis Gutierrez, has tasted over 600 wines. Hacienda López de Haro Crianza 2010 has received 91 points, same note as the vintage 2008 in Neal Martin´s last review. In the price/quality category Hacienda López de Haro Crianza is the best one.
Quatro Pagos Reserva 2007 has received 91+ and Hacienda López de Haro Tempranillo 89.
These are great marks, and if you see the wines that have received the same points, you will realize that most of them are more expensive.

“The 2010 Hacienda Lopez de Haro Crianza feels quite classical in its style, lightly-colored, with clean red spicy fruit, a touch of leather and a polished, soft palate that makes it very pleasant and easy to drink. At this price level this wine is a steal!”
QUATRO PAGOS (2007) 91+ POINTS
“I’m guessing the 2007 Quatro Pagos Reserva opens the more modern style range of wines, with a completely different label, more modern, with more forward fruit but with a classical core that makes it approachable and pleasant. This is an interesting new (at least for me) range that combines tradition with modernity in style at a very attractive price.”
HLH TEMPRANILLO (2012) 89 POINTS
“The 2012 Hacienda Lopez de Haro Tempranillo is pure young Tempranillo used to break the new barrels for three to four months, showing the purple color and the exuberance of the young fruit with strawberries, raspberries, flowers and red licorice notes. A pleasure to drink slightly chilled with charcuterie. Refreshing and a real bargain. “
