A new Wine Spectator issue has arrived with good news, as Hacienda López de Haro Gran Reserva 2010 has been selected among the best Riojas, with 91 points!
The score was awarded in a blind tasting by Thomas Matthews, executive editor and lead taster for the wines of Spain at Wine Spectator.
Hacienda López de Haro Gran Reserva 2010 brings together the personality of the Tempranillo grape from the Sonsierra, careful and minimal intervention winemaking, and more than 30 months in French and American oak barrels.
As Matthews said “This generous red has a thick texture that carries lively flavors of cherry, raspberry, vanilla, tea and candied orange. The ripe tannins are well-integrated, and orange peel acidity keeps this focused. Expressive.”
