A New Adventure in Formentera
Vintae joins forces with Terramoll to boost the island’s wine scene
A few years ago, we discovered more than just a natural paradise in Formentera. This small Balearic island, located near Ibiza, captivated us with its pristine beaches, protected landscapes, and vineyards planted on sandy soils—still free from phylloxera and growing on original rootstock. In that magical setting, an idea took shape—one that is now becoming a reality: to breathe new life into the island’s winemaking tradition.
After many months of conversations and collaboration, Vintae is thrilled to take on the management of Terramoll as co-owner. This is a soulful project rooted in a land with a millennia-old yet little-known wine heritage.
Founded in 2000, Terramoll has always been committed to the landscape and sustainability. In its 15+ hectares in the La Mola area, the winery grows native varieties like Monastrell and Malvasía, alongside others such as Syrah and Viognier—all in a setting that feels frozen in time.
This new chapter begins with respect, dedication, and an eagerness to share the wines of Formentera with the world. Because when a place is this special, its wines are too.
