Matsu welcomes La Jefa, its first white wine<\/h1>\n
Fifteen years after our exciting adventure began in the D.O. Toro, we can finally present the fourth wine from Bodega Matsu, in which a woman appears on the label for the first time and which is also our first white wine from Toro.<\/p>\n
La Jefa is a powerful, age-worthy wine sourced from very old vines, some of them pre-phylloxera, and aged for 14 months in oak casks. <\/p>\n
It is made with the majority white variety in Toro, the Malvasía castellana.<\/p>\n
$\"UVA$ <\/p>\n
La Jefa is portrayed as a strong woman with years of experience under her belt, unafraid to show herself as she is and to express her feminine pride. <\/p>\n
This wine and its natural expression of the terroir is the result of decades of ancestral viticulture practiced by the various growers who supply Matsu.<\/p>\n
Only 7,500 bottles were produced of the 2018 vintage.<\/p>\n
